I’ve released an update to the RAZR plugin. The most obvious difference is the use of an Installer package to simplify installation of the plugin. The downside is that Apple’s Installer is geared around installing programs at the root level, not in a user’s home folder (though I know it’s possible with some extra fussing around). In the event that you need to install the plugin specifically in your home folder and not the root Library folder, let me know and I’ll put up a separate download (or you can just extract the files from the package itself).
I also reworked the attributes of the plugin. I double-checked my previous work and found some differences. I’m not sure if the differences are present because of 10.4.4, or if I just misread the results the first time around. At any rate, USB syncing now works, something that I was unable to get to work before. My USB vendor and product ID strings were correct, but my GMM and GMI strings should have both been the same, according to my results with ZTerm. (On a side note, I’ve had questions about why I chose to use “com.motorola.usb-bt.0×22B8/0×2A62″ instead of the string that the original RAZR uses. The answer is because that’s what USB Prober says the product and vendor ID is. The original RAZR IDs are different.)
Also, like before, these changes were tested with the Verizon version of the phone. I verified that both bluetooth and USB syncing work, though iCal syncing is still flaky. That may just be the phone or iSync itself. If you successfully use the plugin with another carrier, please let me know which one. Thanks.
