I was just using Google Maps tonight and noticed that Google corrected their ‘bug’ that allowed the phone numbers function of the plugin to work properly in Safari. (If you happened to read my previous post about the subject, it had nothing to do with Safari itself, but rather Google’s browser detection.)
I wrote to them at the end of last month letting them know that the version of Google Maps for Safari was not encoding HTML in the address field as plain text. Instead, it was interpreting any HTML code entered in the address field as actual code. I thought this was worth pointing out to them. While I was at it, I asked if they could allow line breaks for all browsers, which I figured would not be a security risk and would allow for some flexibility in labeling the maps.
I guess I didn’t get my wish.
